Somehow the dance party at the nightclub devolved into a multiplayer pong-like competition amongst the various RPG parties in attendance. Score by deflecting the disco balls into your color goal! The first party to 11 wins!

Only two of the eight parties are controllable by players at the moment, and both players have to use the same computer:

  • Player 1 controls the pink paddle via the Left/Right arrow keys.
  • Player 2 controls the aqua paddle via the A/D keys.
  • The other paddles are controlled by AIs.
  • If either Player 1 or Player 2 isn't playing, the AI opposite them will probably win. If you're playing by yourself, maybe try controlling both Players 1 & 2 simultaneously and see how you fare!

Made in about 2.5 days for the "GMC Jam 40" Game Jam. Theme: ONE BIG PARTY

  • The version playable in the browser was completed after the 2.5 days of jam work

Hi, game is a lot of fun but per the rules of the jam, you  need to provide credit for assets not created by you or during the jam period. Please add this to your itch page or somewhere so that your entry can be judged fairly for your own work:

https://alexdraws.itch.io/pixel-champions

Thanks for the catch, our addled brains didn't even include credit for the two of us!

Curiously, the jam rules as posted do not state anything about attribution, nor disclosure of prior assets in general, really. Just "majority of work must be during the jam, etc. etc." (Bit of a loophole there, in my opinion.) If you know of a more comprehensive, official guide, by all means point me at it.

Per alexdraws, the assets can be used any way the owner likes (which would include without attribution).

Looking forward to rating your submission in the next few days!

So you’re right, this jam doesn’t require it. That was definitely my bad and I apologize. I’m used to jams that have really strict attribution rules and I guess it does hit me personally as a musician myself.  But it’s true you do not have to credit your sources for the jam.
